Sweets: Steampunk Tophat Cake
"The hat was placed in an old suitcase that fitted perfectly with the theme. My husband Andreas (aka Mekanikles) built on an old LP player that we put down the suitcase and connected to a dimmer switch so it was spinning slowly and showed up the cake from all sides. Really fun and effective I think!
The hat got a little emaciated appearance with worn leather. I decorated it with a uppdragbar key, gears, chains and springs. At the front sat a pair of aviation goggles, older model. The cake as hat stands on a wood surface that got patched with metal and adorned with gears."
