Sweets: LOTR Birthday Party
Imgurian Skip172 shared the preparations his girlfriend made for her "Long Expected" 25th birthday. Decorations include some familiar signage, and the party featured a buffet of Lord of the Ring themed foods. Imgur being Imgur, they of course advise him to immediately wife her, and I have to admit, I'd love to meet a fangirl this into my fandoms.

Quick Pic: Cardboard Kids Armor
"Cardboard Kids Armor" by Proteon
In 2011, New York artist Warren King created an incredible full suit of knight armor for a 6-year-old using cardboard, paint, hot glue, rubber bands, and velcro. Warren shared his entire DIY process on Flickr.
The top comment on Reddit suggests "Ikea should print the parts of this on the boxes children's furniture comes in." I whole-heartedly agree. Print a useful pattern on the interior of all those furniture boxes so that customers get some use from the cardboard before it goes into the garbage.

Papercraft: Doctor Who Ferris Wheel

"I decided to depart from my usual experiments making fandom-themed paper snowflakes, and ambitiously set out to make a fully-functional paper ferris wheel. After a week of sketching, cutting, gluing, assembling and questioning my sanity, here’s the final product!
The wheel contains images of the iconic Cybermen, Daleks, Weeping Angels, The Silence and of course, bow ties! The foundation (I suppose that’s what it’s called) has the most recent DW logo, and the carriages are all mini TARDISes.Hope you guys like it, and if you’re curious about how it was made then be sure to check out this post."

Video: Paper Twin Peaks Intro
There was a great deal of rejoicing last week when Showtime and David Lynch finally worked out a deal to bring back Twin Peaks. While you wait for 2016, check out Matthew Fuller’s re-creation of the Twin Peaks
title sequence in animated paper cut outs. Fuller’s rough hewn creation
is adorable, staying true to the languid pace and dreamy objects of the
original.

Papercraft: Millennium Falcon
This amazing thirty-eight inch model of the Episode IV version of the Millennium Falcon was created by modeller Bernard Szukiel. It took him four years to build, and what’s amazing is that it’s made out of paper. Well, it’s 99 percent paper, but it also features LED lights mounted in the mandibles, cockpit, and gun wells.
