New Hampshire tattoo artist Jesse Rix has posted a gallery of incredible three-dimensional tattoos that transform their bearers into multi-layered optical illusions of alien worlds that appear to loom just beneath their skin.
Jesse Rix is a tattoo artist based in Keene, New Hampshire. He has been tattooing since 2005 and specializes in realism, nature and 3D/Geometric style pieces …Our studio is a private studio, which means it’s by appointment only. Maxime Gautron, owner of the Brindi Tattoo Parlor in Toulouse, France, has recently unveiled his latest masterpieces on Instagram. They're a series of tattoos that draw inspiration from Japanese woodblock prints, known as Ukiyo-e ("pictures of the floating world"). If you look closely, though, each of his tattoos contains a small thread of silliness. I'm not sure I'd want to wear on for life, but they sure are fun to look at.

Aside from the missing comma, this is a brilliant homage to the fifth series of Doctor Who! But seriously, I'd wince every time I looked down and noticed the missing comma all over again.
