Sweets: Mud Cake Monster

If Tim Burton ran a bakery, this is what his cupcakes might have looked like.  It was created by French pastry chef Mélanie Launay, aka La Châteleine.

William Basso creates amazingly creepy art.  His style reminds me of the designs of the movie MirrorMask, except that his designs aren't whimsical.

Sculpture: Infestations

Steve Casino sculpts and paints characters into broken and discarded things. He calls them “Infestations” for lack of a better name.  Most are sculpted from polymer clay into really consumer packaging.

Short Film: Running the Gammatar

"Running the Gammatar" Written and Directed by Joe Kramer

"Running the Gammatar"is a weird little short film about a city under constant attack from a fire-breathing kaiju.  Call it science fiction or call it comedy, either way it's super weird.
"'Running the Gammatar' is an award-winning indie comedy about a group of self-centered 20-somethings trying to navigate their way through relationships in a city that's under constant attack from a giant, fire-breathing Japanese monster."

Short Film: Running the Gammatar

"Running the Gammatar" Written and Directed by Joe Kramer

"Running The Gammatar" is an outrageously hilarious mish-mash of a Seinfeld episode and a Japanese Kaiju film.  In it, a self-centered young man tries to navigate his way through relationships in a city that’s under constant attack from a giant, fire-breathing monster.

The film was created on a shoe-string budget of US$1,700 and looks it, too, but far from detracting from the film, the deliberately cheesy visuals contribute to the story's absurdity.

Fan Film: Critters: Bounty Hunter

Fans of the classic sci-fi horror flick Critters are going to love this fan-made short film from Jordan Downey.  I'm not going into detail, because either you've seen Critters or you haven't, but if Warner Brothers every does launch a Critters web series, they could do worse than to follow Downey's pitch.
"Warner Bros. recently announced plans to revive "Critters" as a web series for their digital unit, Blue Ribbon Content. I've been a die-hard fan of the series since I was a kid and wanted to show that I would be the right director for the project. This short film is my pitch... Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!"

Short Film: Bundle of Nerves

"Bundle of Nerves" directed by Ryan Spindell of BlackBoxTV

"Bundle of Nerves" is a horror comedy in the vein of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Middle Man, or Supernatural. The short film follows the misadventures of a pair of small town cops named Luke and Carl who end up being the ones responding to every call regarding weird incidents. The supernatural has become commonplace for them, but now there's something even more terrifying than the creatures of the night they deal with.
