"Yeah I'm still a castle nut guys, I'm not completely lost to space ;)
The Mystic Isles of Avalonia house many diverse persons, creatures and landscapes. Wonderful Wallace, Brother of Senneck and Harry the Hallucinating Healer, is one of them. He lives in solitude in the middle of a small cluster of islands in the center of the isles. Unlike his elder and younger siblings, Wallace has deviated from potions and other magic, and found his love in astronomy. He spends his days charting the skies, bartering with the local fishermen, and smoking pipe-weed. Also like his brothers, he has an incredibly awesome beard, which he takes great pride in. potentially more pride than what he has in his astronomical discoveries.
Hey guys! Here is my main exhibit for the Christchurch brick show this weekend! it's been an interesting build, my original plan had been different, but then lugbulk didn't show up as early as i'd hoped so it changed :p the roof was a bit of a pain, but i'm pretty happy with the result. I had planned for a different colourscheme on the ground, but this worked too, when bulk arrives I guess I'll just have to build another moc with that scheme ;)
Now all I need is for it not to be completely obliterated on the way down to Christchurch!"

Lego Creation: Amortug
"Amortug" by Marco den Besten
When Marco den Besten sets out to build a Lego castle, he doesn't mess around. He's dubbed this one "Armortug," and it took nearly four months to complete. In addition to its towers and walls, you might find a small blue box tucked into the landscape.
"Amortug is being ruled by The Tartan family for two centuries now. Two hundred years ago the great Or Tartan, who was a general than, overthrew the old steward who was gathering treasure just for himself. He also invaded clan lands several times and was provoking the Elves constantly by mining underneath there outposts. This made Or decide it was enough. He cut of the stewards hands and feet. Than he hung him in the middle of the gate while wearing lots of jewelry. The steward died from hunger while hanging there, like lots of Amortug's citizens did because of him. He died while staring to himself in the reflections of the diamonds and when his last breath came out he said he'll be claiming his treasure some day. Because of what he said Or also slaughtered his whole family by burning the old citadel to prevent them from taking Amortug back again some day...
Since than Amortug is know for being one of the best fortified cities with it's high walls, fortified gates and large citadel. Or was able to make a treaty with the Elves to restore some balance, while this guys will never get a long. And he made peace with the clan lands. Most of his daughters even married clan leader's sons. So that explains why most of Amortug's inhabitants aren't recognized as being dwarves. But the dwarf blood and spirit is still running through the vanes of Amortug's inhabitants!
This is the display at it's largest, build on 4 by 6 48x48 baseplates. The whole rim on the right side(4 by 1 48x48) was build by Tijgersan for our exhibition at Legoworld Copenhagen: www.flickr.com/photos/tijger-san/"

Lego Creation: Minecraft Steve’s Crib
Minecraft Steve’s Crib by ZaziNombies
ZaziNombies' castle looks incredible, moreso because he created it by only using blocks that fit into Minecraft's blocky aesthetic. The result is a much bigger and detailed 20,000 piece version of the tiny official Minecraft LEGO sets. It’s two feet tall and three feet wide and
is constructed of over 20,000 bricks. ZaziNombies managed to keep the very square look of the game while
adding in lots of details.

Sculpture: Bonsai Skull
Bonsai Skull Treehouse
Ocoze
is a young Japanese artist raised in the Hiroshima-prefec and fond of
nature, dioramas and metric analysis. He is the man that gave hands to
the amazing “bon-kei” houses that rocked the web a couple of years ago,
formerly part of the Takanori Aiba duo.
Today Ocoze is doing it all by himself and is taking it to a next
level. This is his latest work. If you're near Berlin, you can
see his work first-hand during The Woods art show at Strychnin Gallery, which began April 12th.

Sweets: Minas Tirith Cake
Every since I first laid eyes on this cake, I can't help but imagine how perfect it would be with an itty bitty Denethor candle on top. Sadly, this is a wedding cake, not a birthday cake, though I plan on dropping some hints around the house as my own birthday draws closer.
The main body of this huge wedding cake is composed of white cake with strawberry filling, while the cliffs were formed of rice crispies and the fine details were molded from fondant. I'm guessing that the final tinting was accomplished with an airbrush. According to Vigh, the whole thing served 180, though I have to think that there must have been some tears when they finally cut into the thing.
I've posted some of the build photos below, but they're poorly lit and a poorly framed. Amazing bakers the Cake Crew may be, but photographers they are most definitely not.

Lego Creation: Winterfell
Winterfell by Marco Cancellieri
Photographed by Itaria No Shintaku at ItLUG Latina 2013
Marco Cancellieri exhibited this enormous 288 studs by 576 stud (2.30m by 4.60m) Game of Throne diorama at
the ItLug Latina 2013 Lugfest that includes Winterfell, the Twin Towers, and Castle Black (complete with The Wall). It's clearly based on descriptions from the books, rather than stills from the HBO series, but the scale of the diorama is impressive.

Lego Creation: Castle Black
Castle Black by Marco Cancellieri

In Game of Thrones, Castle Black is the headquarters to the the
Night’s Watch, the group of armsmen who devote their lives to defending the
Wall. The castle is mostly built from ice and
rock, and is nothing more than a small keep, but it's defining
feature is the man powered elevator to the top of the
wall.

Lego Creation: Cair Paravel
"Designed by yours truly and built by local elementary students for the C.S. Lewis festival in Petoskey, Michigan, this large diorama of the Narnian Castle of Cair Paravel was a whirlwind project that went from sketches to bricks in less than a month.
Featuring over 7,000 elements, the model is loosely based on concept art from the 2005 "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" film, and is built in a grid format from 50 modular sections. Special thanks to the C.S. Lewis festival for this opportunity, the kids who made it happen, and my family for tremendous help sorting, invoicing, and cataloging. The model weighs in at 64x48 studs and has an overall height of about 1 foot. It's rare to find light tan castles, so from the moment the C.S. Lewis festival proposed the idea to me, I knew experimenting with tan and dark red would be something special."

Lego Creation: Ondylion City
"The mountains in Mitgardia are a wonderful natural border. Not many are facing the treacherous routes trough them. So when taking the main road, you'll be probaly going towards Ondylion. With its strong towers and walls it surely is an impressive sight. And don't forget the fierced men of the Order of the Wyvern. So when enemies are trying to reach Valholl, it won't be easy!
But when you're just a traveller or a merchant, there is nothing to fear. Instead of that, you'll like the city. With it's friendly people, delicacies, the beautifull cliffs surounding the city and well a lot more!"

Papercraft: A Castle On the Ocean
This folded paper masterwork took a Japanese art student named Wataru four years to complete, and while the ferris wheel doesn’t spin, there are electric lights and a moving paper train, which kind of makes me wish I could become a paper person, fold myself up, and live here.

Lego Creation: The Voice of Evil
"The Voice of Evil" by Duco Brugman
Photographed by Paul Barendregt
After he planned this imposing castle for over three years, this 20-kilogram monolith took approximately eight months to complete, and with good reason. Every part of this diarama is teaming with story-inspiring details.

Lego Creations: Lego Neuschwanstein
Neuschwanstein by Bob Carney
Bob Carney showed his model of Neuschwanstein Castle at this year's Brickworld. The model is massive. According to Carney's website, Neuschwanstein is one hundred inches long, and it took six months to complete. You can see how he built it, step by step on his website, along with side-by-side comparisons of the actual castle. It's really worth a look if you're a lego fan.
