Food Art: BB-8 Bento Box

Source: OMGIRI via  Between the Pages

Disney bento box creator Micky Araben was so excited about the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens that he created a series of bento foxes featuring BB-8  (on a bed of “Jakku sand couscous”), Rey and Finn, a Stormtrooper and Kylo Ren (with a beet-stained red lightsaber), and Chewbacca and Han Solo.

Food Art: Death Star and Luke Bento

Death Star and Luke in his pilot gear from Episode IV: A New Hope

I love that Araben has created Death Star and Luke boxes, rather than Luke and Death Star. There's no question who's the star of this show here.
"Star Wars Force Fridays - Death Star and Luke in his pilot gear from Episode IV: A New Hope.  And have fun at Star Wars Weekends at the Hollywood Studios. I’m jealous, but I am loving your posts from there!"

Or is a book just a broken iPad? Back in 2011, a viral video of a little girl reading caused a similar debate.

Why Etsy Doesn't Have a Gallery in New York:  Does anyone here speak art and tech? "Indeed, for a certain sort of hoodie-wearing entrepreneur more keen on trips to Tahoe than the Tate, the rules of the art world can seem especially opaque." No, they are two different cultures. "The traditional art world appears to be recognizing that it is going to need to collect some of this money to continue operating in the manner it has grown accustomed to. What it doesn’t seem to recognize is that it may be selling the wrong thing, a brand of social status that the technology culture is not interested in buying." Reuter's Felix Salmon had some interesting thoughts on this in "Why techies don’t buy contemporary art."  (Because, evidently, Tech Millionaires Can't Figure Out How To Buy Art.)
