Jewelry: Star Wars Rings

Star Wars Ring Designs by Paul Michael Bierker
Merchandise available for purchase from Etsy.

I've never personally met a girl who would seriously wear matching his and hers Star Wars rings, but I like to think that there's a girl like that waiting me somewhere out in the world.  In the mean time, it's worth noting that Paul Michael designs is the only jeweler with a line of Star Wars themed jewelry that consistently avoids being completely tacky.

Jewelry: Solar System Pendants

Prints available for purchase from Etsy.

"Orrery" would be the correct term here, but the description in the artist's not mine.   Ryan has a huge following online, and you can see why.  Her pieces are nerd-adjacent, but still very stylish.

Jewelry: Galaxy Collection

Prints available for purchase from Etsy.

Christmas is fast approaching, meaning that it's time to rush out and begin scouring the malls for stocking stuffers.  This collection of trinkets is perfect for that special girl in your life with whom you love to curl up and watch Carl Sagan's Cosmos.

Jewelry: Horde Engagement Ring

Horde Engagement Ring (from World of Warcraft) by Paul Michael Designs
Jewelry available for purchase from Etsy. US$490

I'm not sure what sort of marriage would start with a Horde ring, but this would be a pretty sweet gift for your favorite gamer girl... so long as she's not an Alliance fan.  The stones are a 1-1.1 carat heart-shaped ruby and 0.25 carats of diamonds.

Jewelry: Sonic Solitaire Ring

"The Sonic Solitaire" by Paul Michael Design
Jewelry available for purchase from Etsy. US$175

It may not be the sort of sonic screw driver that the Doctor uses to open doors, but if sprung at just the right moment, this ring could certainly get you out of some sticky situations.  You know, like a forgotten anniversary?
"Who needs a key to your heart when you have The Sonic Solitaire? Embellish with your choice of colored stones that can represent almost anything, keep it true to Dr. Who colors, add a birthstone or go crazy and add a real diamond and make this “The Ring” using our custom settings."

Jewelry: Rings of Mara

Skyrim: Rings of Mara by Peregrine Studios

"Ring of Mara" (from Skyrim) by Peregrine Studios

Peregrine Studios has an excellent selection of custom design geek fandom-themed jewelry produced with 3D printers, including a fairly wide selection of Skyrim necklaces.  If you're a geek girl (or dating a geek girl), this is going to be a necessary bookmark.

Jewelry: Cosplay Girls Necklace

Star Wars Cosplay Girls Acrylic Charm Necklace by Robin E. Kaplan
Necklace and ear rings available for purchase from Etsy. US$25

Etsy seller Robin E. Kaplan, aka The Gorgonist, initially designed these super cute Star Wars cosplay girls as prints, and they were insanely popular.  So popular that the spaceship dresses even inspired real life interpretations – like this awesome Ms. Death Star dress.  Earlier this year, she started selling the art as acrylic pendants, but I thought that this would be a good time to remind all of you who have special geek girls in your lives.

Jewelry: Serenity Necklace

This necklace is a representation of Wash's last words, "I am a leaf on the wind - watch how I soar." The pewter-finish ship measures 5/8ths of an inch long and is mounted on an almost 2-inch long bronze-finish leaf.  The piece comes with a keychain, but it also comes with the black cord shown in the photo.  I'm sad to say that the model in this photo is a prototype that won't be available to purchase until sometime in Spring of 2014, so you can't give it as a gift this Christmas.
