Mash-Up: Muppets / Mad Max

Mad Max Mayhem by JoopaDoops

"I love the Muppets so I tend to picture them as all kinds of pop culture phenoms. In this case, once I pictured Dr. Teeth as Immortan Joe, I had to make it happen. Painted in Photoshop CS4 in June 2015."

Cosplay: Mini War Rig

Cory and Jeremy Newton-Smith and their two adorably post-apocalyptic kids, 4-year-old Cooper and his 11-month-old sister Ziggy. This year for Halloween the Newton-Smiths turned a pair of second-hand Power Wheels toys into a fantastic mini War Rig from Mad Max: Fury Road. Cooper is dressed as a diminutive Max and Ziggy makes a tiny but fierce Imperator Furiosa.

Video: 8-Bit Mad Max: Fury Road

CineFix presents Mad Max: Fury Road retold via old-school 8-bit (and a little 16 bit ;) game tech. No quarters or controllers required!  Talk about a movie being made for the side-scrolling arcade treatment. This Mad Max Fury Road 8-bit creation from Cinefix is one of their best videos yet, if only because it includes the button-smashing directions.  It also brings the best vehicles from the movie into the simple video game world.

Merchandise: Mad Max Fury Road Car Decal

3D printed silver Mad Max Fury Road car decal

This is a 3D printed magnetic car decal/logo. It can also be used as a magnet anywhere else. It has a super-strong neodymium magnet inside, hand-embedded inside the plastic while printing. Silver painted, although if you choose to specify a color in advance, that can be done too. Made of durable PLA plastic, which is a biodegradable type of plastic made from corn. Great gift for your favorite nerd/geek girl or boy.

Fan Art Round-Up: Imperator Furiosa

Mad Max Fury Road Fan Art Gallery featuring Imperator Furiosa

I know that we've already posted an enormous gallery of Imperator Furiosa fan art, but I rented Mad Max: Fury Road this weekend, and I'm fired up all over again.  The one-armed heroine has remained a fan favorite since the day of the first trailer release, and the fan art tribute are growing more impressive by the week.  Here’s still more of the great stuff folks have been making to pay tribute to this incredible character.

Follow the links to see the full artwork in the artists’ galleries, and as usual, if you know of a piece we missed, drop a link in the comments!

Mash-Up: HENRY V8

"During class today I accidentally wrote down HENRY V8 instead of Henry VIII," artist hattedhedgehog wrote on Tumblr, “and so…” it led to this amazing mashup. So, clearly the next step is to see Henry’s wives, living and dead, as The Wives! Or would Anne Boleyn make a better Furiosa?

Japanese artist Takumi re-imagines Mad Max: Fury Road in an ancient Egyptian motif, and even though the movie has nothing to do with ancient Egypt, the two styles mesh really well.

Mash-Up: Madventure Time!

"Madventure Time" by Moscow, Russia-based Egor Zhgun

Almost immediately after the release of Mad Max: Fury Road there were Adventure Time mash-ups, but this animated mash-up trailer by Egor Zhgun is on a whole other level.  As you will see, he was heavily inspired by the illustrated Adventure Time mash-ups created Ryan May.

Lego Creation: Mad Max War Rig

I predict that there are going to be a lot more Lego Mad Max vehicles popping up around the web.
"I had free time so I made the front part of the War Rig with my available Legos because I do adult things."

Lego Creation: Mad Max Fleet

Lego mastermind Calin has done an amazing job capturing the true stars of Mad Max: Fury Road - the vehicles - in brick form.  Calin has included the Interceptor, the Nux Car, and even a few unexpected vehicles, including a mini that completely escaped my notice.  I'm praying that eventually instructions for these make their way online, because I would love to play with  model these myself... in a completely adult and mature way.

Make sure you CLICK through.  I've only posted one shot for each vehicle out of respect for the builder, but the Flickr album offers shots from many different angles.
"A mix of ideas and some more exploring of rims. These just might be THE rims for the Nux car, unfortunately the wheels holder doesn't allow much in terms of positioning of the grille.

I used to think TT wheels and holders are a walk in the park to play, but they turn out to be quite a challenge when you REALLY want to play them."
