Crafts: Finn Helmet Cross-Stitch
Source: Kaplio
I can't think of the circumstances under which a bloody Stormtrooper helmet would be appropriate for a throw pillow, but if the mood should ever strike you, here's the pattern.

Crafts: Force Awakens Cross-Stitch
These are the best representations of the three stars of The Force Awakens that I've seen set in thread. She was good enough to share the pattern, too.

Crafts: Star Wars Cross-Stitch

"Star Wars Cross-Stitch" by Greviousmisadventure
This cross-stitching piece is an attempt to duplicate the pattern of TeeFury's Ugly Christmas Sweater t-shirt. Greviousmisadventure was even kind enough to post her patterns for the project.

Crafts: LCARS Cross-Stitch
"Star Trek LCARS Interface Cross-Stitch" by London-based Lord Libidan
All I know is that I wouldn't want to be the crew member who has to mop that room out at the end of the day.

Crafts: Portal Cross-Stitch
"Portal Tattoo Cross Stitch" by London-based LordLibidan
Patterns and kits available for purchase from Etsy.
"When I first saw this tshirt pattern I fell in love with it, so just had to stitch it. I had to do a lot of work with the image to get it into a nice pattern, and then had to edit the image some more in order to get it looking right, but I kept the feel of the original by only putting 6 colours in it. You can find Jimiyo's other works here."

The Julie Taylor Test: How to tell if a TV actor is bad
Reddit isn't the future of creativity, but it is a vital part of it: The site has emerged as an important creative platform, but getting—and keeping—an audience there is a tricky thing.
Y’know how you read something and your
brain can’t tell if you should be delighted, grossed out, amused,
freaked out, or just plain confused? That was my reaction when I
discovered this Tumblr called Fifty Shades of MODOK.

Crafts: Carina Nebula
12 x 12 cm, 22 stitches per inch, 50 colors.
This is gorgeous, but who in their right mind takes up a fifty color pattern? And with not a single straight line in the whole piece, I'm pretty sure that there was an enormous amount of counting involved.

I love it. This would make an awesome quilt, too.

If you're going to cross-stitch a map, why not cross-stitch a map of a place you care about? If you squint hard, you can almost see tiny corpses strewn about minuscule landscapes.

Crafts: Holodeck Cross Stitch
As embarrassed as I would be if a stranger examined my hard drive, I can't even imagine how much humiliation would arise from someone seeing what I would do with a holodeck. Of course, they'd have to pry me out of there before they'd have a chance to toss my files.

They’re everywhere. You can’t avoid them, not entirely — though one
would hope you’d avoid syphilis, of all things — so why not incorporate
them into your decor?
If you’re into science, or just germs, or cleanliness, or if you’re a hypochondriac, you might like to see your interests/worst fears immortalized in stitchwork. Luckily, now you can. The pieces are available a la carte, in sets, or as DIY patterns.

Crafts: Zelda Cross-Stitch

Cross-stitch pattern available for download from Spritestitch.
Redditor tibtibs spent between 400-500 hours over the course of nine months working on this awesome cross-stitched map for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. She worked from a free pattern that was posted on the Sprite Stitch Board.
This magnificent work of craftiness was made as a gift for tibtibs’
gamer boyfriend, who must be pretty awesome considering all of
the eye strain she endured while working on this project.
