In this excellent talk from Human Potential Summit hosted by The Economist, entitled "Steal Like an Artist," Austin Kleon makes a compelling case for the vital role of remix in the creative economy. Kleon is best know for his Newspaper Blackout project, in which he creates a modern florilegium, using a black Sharpie to make poetry by redacting newspaper articles.

Lecture: Steal Like An Artist
In this excellent talk from Human Potential Summit hosted by The Economist, entitled "Steal Like an Artist," Austin Kleon makes a compelling case for the vital role of remix in the creative economy. Lecture: Creationistas
Creationistas is a fantastic, necessary campaign to repair the brokenness of copyright law in Australia, inspired by Kirby Ferguson’s Everything is a Remix project. For more on defending your rights in the digital world, see – and join me in supporting – the Electronic Frontiers Foundation.
"At this very moment, many people in Australia are breaching copyright. They are doing creative things, commonplace things, public interest things, things that are improving our community and culture, and they are breaching copyright, often without even being aware of it. Subscribe to the Creationistas to find out more about how copyright is broken."
