Sweets: Gingerbread Iron Throne

Gingerbread Iron Throne
Source: Imgur via Neatorama

The Iron Throne was forged at the order of Aegon the Conqueror, first of the Targaryen Kings.  It was forged from the 1,000 swords surrendered to him in the War of Conquest. The dragon Balerion the Black Dread melted them before they were hammered into a throne.

Personally, I prefer this one.  It was made a group of friend for their Christmas festivities.  Of course, in my house, gingerbread is even more like to cause infighting than a throne, but I can't help but think it would be worth it.

The three heads of the dragon?  Conspiracy theorist are talking as the series comes to a close.  Personally, all I want if for these three to be friends, seeing as they're the last three characters I'm rooting for.

"So my friend received this custom made cake on her Birthday..."
For a second, I thought this was a statue, the fondant is so skillfully airbrushed. Someone further down the Reddit thread texted the bakery responsible for the cake, and it turns out that it only cost the equivalent of US$54, which makes me think that, if I moved to Bulgaria, I would be much, much fatter.

...on the other hand, if I had bought this cake, I'm not sure I'd have the heart to cut into it.

I love the stone texturing on this cake.

Sweets: Adventure Time Cake Pops

"I created these fun Adventure Time cake pops for an international cake collaboration called Cakeflix. Check out some of the other amazing cakes on the facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/cakeflixcoll...

I started these cake pops with a batch of vanilla cake. After breaking it up into a fine crumb, I added about half a cup of Earl Grey White chocolate ganache. I formed the dough into balls and various shapes for the various characters. Using some melted chocolate, I added a stick to each one and chilled for just a couple of minutes.

I dipped each cake pop in its respective colour and then added facial details and hair using modelling chocolate.

I created this tutorial for you guys while I was making these cake pops in hope it might help you create your next cake pop project."

Sweets: Deadpool Rides A Unicorn

This incredible cake, created for the international Cake Con Collaboration features an adorable Deadpool riding a unicorn like the end credits of the feature film.
"Not only was the Deadpool movie made in Vancouver, but Ryan Renolds is from Vancouver, so Deadpool was the perfect comic character. The first time I saw the movie, I instantly wanted to make a deadpoool and unicorn cake, and I finally got to make it! He is a little raunchy and very humorous, but I think he has a sweet side too! He is a little banged up and dirty, but mostly all healed up and enjoying a ride through the clouds with his trusty friend the unicorn."

Sweets: Deadpool Cake

If this isn't the best superhero cake I've ever seen, it's in the top five. Not that I'm jealous.

Sweets: LOTR Birthday Party

Imgurian Skip172 shared the preparations his girlfriend made for her "Long Expected" 25th birthday.  Decorations include some familiar signage, and the party featured a buffet of Lord of the Ring themed foods.  Imgur being Imgur, they of course advise him to immediately wife her, and I have to admit, I'd love to meet a fangirl this into my fandoms.

Sweets: Baby Groot Cake

How to make a Baby Groot face cake from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. I was inspired to make this Groot cake after watching the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 as Baby Groot is too cute. Get the recipe along with a detailed list of ingredients in the video description on YouTube.

Sweets: Kraken Piescraper

Feat your eyes on this culinary creation!  If there's one thing I love more than pie, it's a pie that tells a story.  Watch as Jessica assemble this beast in the video below!

Sweets: Star Wars Crawl Cake

Here's something I've never seen before. It's a five tier cake with a personalize crawl written down the side created for a couple renewing their vows by Instagram's CakeGuy555. That's Han, Leia, and R2-D2 on top and a mini-Death Star stacked in the middle, and the text was written by the bride and groom about their love for each other. Zoom in closely and you can read snatches of phrases like "I promise to be generous and cherish all our moments together," "my one true love and soul mate," "missing puzzle piece," and more.

Evidently, this isn't the kind of couple that exchanges a glib, "I love you" / "I know" like most Star Wars fans. The cake make complains that it was a huge undertaking, and in the second photo (below), can be seen giving the cake the finger.

Sweets: Minas Tirith Wedding Cake

Source: Imgur via Reddit

"Wedding Cake I helped work on for a super stoked bride who was a huge LOTR fan."  All I can think is that this would make for a really morbid birthday cake with a Denethor candle on top.

Sweets: Mud Cake Monster

If Tim Burton ran a bakery, this is what his cupcakes might have looked like.  It was created by French pastry chef Mélanie Launay, aka La Châteleine.
