Quick Pic: Princess Leia Corn Maze

Goebel Farms is currently home to an incredible corn maze with the image of New Hope Princess Leia carved into it in what has to be the largest Carrie Fisher tribute ever.  If you want to walk the maze yourself, it’s open on weekends at 4745 W Boonville New Harmony Road in Evansville, Indiana. Visit the Goebel Farms website for more information
"Jeremy Goebel, of Goebel Farms in Indiana, designed the corn maze himself. He said to the Courier Press, “I’ve always been a Star Wars fan, and I just wanted to pay tribute to Carrie Fisher.” He actually was able to plant the maze in just 40 minutes, using Photoshop to design it and then inputting it into the tractor’s GPS. “It tells the planter to leave rows on and off as it drives down the field,” he said."

Tattoo: May the Pizza be with You

I can't help but think that if Han Solo’s blaster had shot slices of pizza, the Star Wars saga would’ve gone very differently.  At least Jabba would have been more amenable.

Quick Pic: Cardboard Kids Armor

"Cardboard Kids Armor" by Proteon

In 2011, New York artist Warren King created an incredible full suit of knight armor for a 6-year-old using cardboard, paint, hot glue, rubber bands, and velcro. Warren shared his entire DIY process on Flickr.

The top comment on Reddit suggests "Ikea should print the parts of this on the boxes children's furniture comes in." I whole-heartedly agree. Print a useful pattern on the interior of all those furniture boxes so that customers get some use from the cardboard before it goes into the garbage.

Four score and seven gears ago, this small town bought to fruition a dream of a President stature of epic proportions.  And all was good... until the next town over built that Cyberpunk John Wilkes Booth.

Quick Pic: Cleric Form

Cleric Form by Vanellopecruz

It’s getting harder and harder to see a good cleric these days. You beseech your friend to heal you so that you might defeat the beast next round. The cleric replies, “Certainly!” She hands you a scroll and adds, “I’ll just need you to fill this out first.”  Perhaps it’s time to consider what coverage is right for you. Thanks, Obama!
"My friend came into our weekly session with a new cleric. When I asked him to heal me, he handed me this."

I would not recommend the Disney theme park in northeast Ohio.

"I would not recommend the Disney theme park in northeast Ohio."

... honestly, the seven dwarves were just a couple old hobos sharing a needle.  Next time we spring for the Florida park.  I hear they have rooms where the mattresses don't smell like urine.

Quick Pic: Snow BB-8

While I feel bad for all of those who've been buried under piles of snow for the past few days, big storms like that are great news for geeky sculptors  who create awesome stuff in the snow.

Quick Pic: Mona Lisa and Golden Ratio

Mona Lisa and Golden Ratio

Mona Lisa (also known as La Gioconda or La Joconde) is a 16th century portrait painted in oil on a poplar panel by Leonardo da Vinci during the Italian Renaissance. The work is owned by the Government of France and is on the wall in the Louvre in Paris. It is perhaps the most famous and iconic painting in the world.

Prevalent in the major works of Leonardo Da Vinci and underlying many of his design compositions, is the Phi relationship (also known as the Golden Ratio or the Golden Mean), a Ratio of approximately 1:1.618, found in Nature and Creation, and inherent in the Fibonacci sequence. The Golden Rectangle, the Golden Triangle, and the Golden Pyramid, all based on the Golden Ratio are all appear prominent in the work of Leonardo Da Vinci. He referred to the Golden Ratio as the “Divine Proportion.”

Also, certain Solar System orbital periods and relative planetary distances are also related to Phi. Some scientists say that the shape of the Universe itself is a Dodecahedron based on Phi.

Quick Pic: Marketing Done Right

On one hand, I love merchandising displays like this. It makes me feel like I'm a character inside a game of Minecraft. On the other hand, every time I see this, I can't help but reflect upon the fact that I'm paying such a gi-normous mark-up on water with a few drops of flavoring that there are people whose only job is to stack cases of that water in visually attractive displays.
