Mash-Up: Muppets / Mad Max
"I love the Muppets so I tend to picture them as all kinds of pop culture phenoms. In this case, once I pictured Dr. Teeth as Immortan Joe, I had to make it happen. Painted in Photoshop CS4 in June 2015."

Video: Sesame Street: Star S'Mores
Sesame Street loves parodying popular TV shows and movies to keep parents entertained as they sit through popular kids show with their kids. Their latest spoof has been an instant viral hit! In this sketch, Sesame Street re-imagines the Star Wars space opera with a baked goods twist! I would seriously love to be the guy who writes these sketches.
"A long time ago in a cookies and milky way galaxy far, far away...Princess Parfaita was taken prisoner by the evil Galactic Empire and had to be saved by a group of unlikely heroes including the young Luke Piewalker, Flan Solo, and Chewie the Cookie."

Mash-Up: Muppets / Twin Peaks
Prints available for purchase from inPRNT. US$15 - $20
Justin DeVine offers us an illustration series straight out of a Black Lodge
dream. In his illustration series, the furry, funny, felt Muppets of your childhood are transformed into the bizarrely eccentric residents of Twin Peaks. It's a real peanut butter and chocolate team up, as both franchise boast fanatical fan followings.

Mash-Up: Muppets / Game of Thrones
"The Game Thrones of Muppets" by Mishugashu
I absolutely love this series, especially "Petyr Beakish" and "Dr. Varys Honeydew." Beaker has never looked so sinister! Only, shouldn't Rolf's family name be "Bearatheaon"?

Fresh Take: Easy being green, it is not
“Easy being green, it is not.” by Peter de Sève
Artist Peter de Sève imagines what it would be like if Kermit and Yoda spent some time fishing together on Dagobah. After all, they are technically related. Plus, they both know their way around a swamp.
This unlikely but perfect juxtaposition between Kermit and Yoda was painted for the Star Wars, Visions, a collection of Star Wars images created by a wide variety of artists from many genres. The famed American illustrator has also created many of the covers for the The New Yorker as well as worked on character design on many animated features including the beloved Scrat from the Ice Age series. Some of his work is currently showing in an exhibition at the Norman Rockwell Museum and he will be speaking at CTNX this year.
