Part of the “Celscapes" art show, opening August 29th, 2014, at Bottleneck Gallery
Whether its a comic strip or a cartoon, art is all about the foreground, but no James White's work. James White's solo show, Celscapes, is about the environment and setting than one particular central focus.
The show opens on Friday, August 29th, with the opening reception at 7pm and at Bottleneck Gallery, 60 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11249. Any remaining work will go on sale at the Bottleneck Gallery website Saturday, August 30 at 12pm eastern.

"Being a child of the 1980s, Saturday mornings were spent in front of the television with a bowl of cereal watching all of my favourite cartoons. What always struck me about those classic shows, such as Spider-man, Masters of the Universe, Scooby-Doo and the Superfriends were the beautifully hand-painted backgrounds. Sadly, that form of animation has faded away. CELSCAPES is a celebration of those classic painted backgrounds, depicting scenes from films, television and cartoons."
