"New" is a short science fiction film about a man who is revived from cryogenic storage decades after dying of cancer. He wakes in a younger body and is re-united with his wife in a bright utopian future, and together, they must come to terms with their new lives.
I spent most of the film waiting in vein for its bright shiny optimism to be pulled back to reveal a dark plot twist, but this isn't a Twilight Zone imitator. It's a film that examines the emotional ramifications of futureshock.
