"Olav the Wolf" by Danish artist Thomas Dambo
Danish artist Thomas Dambo scavenges lumber and other upcycled materials to create large-scale wood sculptures. His most recent creation is Olav the Wolf, which was commissioned for the Copenhell 2015
music festival. Festival organizers requested large, evil-looking wolf
that appeared to be emerging from the underworld to serve as the lead
sculpture for the event.
Dambo the wooden wolf after a good friend who helped him build the sculpture. Olav looked particularly sinister at night thanks to red lights positioned inside the sculpture. In keeping with Copenhell tradition, Olav was set on fire at the end of the festival, which looked exceptionally awesome.
