Here’s a list of the top 10 graphic novels (so far) of 2014, compiled by a U.K. writer, so some of the titles will be new to American readers.

ICv2 and Comichron’s John Jackson Miller joined forces to calculate the size of the entire comics market, including the direct market, bookstore, and digital channels, counting both single issues and graphic novels.  It omits a few things, such as subscription services and libraries, but it's the most complete picture we're got.  The bottom line comes in at US$850 million in sales for 2013.
