"This is a portrait I did of Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo from "Game of Thrones" for the upcoming Motor City Comic Con at which he will be making an appearance. I'll be selling prints there.
This piece was created to display the symbolism of Drogo's legacy after death. Through the fire of his funeral pyre, the three dragons were born, which are in some ways the children of Drogo and Daenerys. The rest of the piece is representation of their love, with visually displaying their words to each other: "Moon of my Life" and "My Sun and Stars." The sunset is also symbolic of death, as well as a reminder of the prophecy of Mirri Maz Duur, that Daenerys will be reunited with him again only when the sun rises in the west and sets in the east."
