Short Film: Hold

"Hold" is a short film written, directed, and starring British director Eric Kolelas.  It tells the story of a man who wanders in a post-apocalyptic world in apparent endless loneliness, only to discover that he isn't alone after all.

The film was shot on location in Bedfordshire, U.K. and co-stars Amanda Fernando-Stevens.  Kolelas has said in an interview that he was compelled to create the film because, "being an actor I have been very intrigued with the reasons we (humans) do what we do. Which led me to read about the Maslow Hierarchy of needs which places physiological needs like nutrition, health, sex as the first things humans has to satisfy before the next level of needs can be fulfilled (such as love and belonging). This story was my way to explore any possible alternative orders to some of the needs in that hierarchy."
