Melissa Mandelbaum is an architect and a product designer.  Inspired by the Francis D. K. Ching book Architecture: Form, Space, and Order, which was the basis of her architecture course in college, she decided to set up a website that would be helpful to the design community for her final year project.The result is Design Principles: Dissecting The Basics For Designers.

Piet Mondrian is best known for his contribution to the De Stijl art movement, which consists of a white background painted with vertical and horizontal black lines forming a grid with the use of three primary colors. Graphic designer Tano Veron adapted this and pays tribute to the artist with his Mondrian font
