Giant Transformer Sculptures by China-based Yu Zhilin and Lu Yingyun
In the Hunan Province, this Chinese farmer and his son have built a US$160,000 a year business for themselves building giant "Transformer" robot sculptures from scrap metal.
It took three years to build that first replica in a makeshift workshop from images downloaded from the Internet. Since then, however, he and son Lu Yingyun have refined the process, creating increasingly larger statues at a steady pace. More photos of the father and son’s models and build process are available to view on the Sina website.
