"The Brain Hack" written, directed, and edited by Joe White
"The Brain Hack" is a very clever sci-fi horror film that ends in a super-meta twist. In it, a computer science student recruits a film student to document his attempts to trigger hallucinogenic visions of God, only to attract the attention of a mysterious religious sect.
It's one of the best shot short film I've ever seen, and, while the techo-babble becomes a bit corny at points, it manages to pack an impressive amount of detail into just twenty minutes.
"Two students create a short-cut to induce hallucinogenic visions of God, and find themselves hunted by a deadly religious sect."
