"Saturday Morning in Front of La Salle De Justice" by Rey Taira
On exhibit at the Arch Nemesis art show, at the Hero Complex Gallery
Remember the famous painting “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” by Georges Seurat? … No? How about the pointillism painting from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? Well, Taira’s new digital print on canvas is modeled after the famous piece. Only Taira's version features your favorite DC superheroes in their New
52 costumes.
"Sunday Evening by the Legion of Doom"
Actually, they look like the old 52 costumes. Harley Quinn is covered, and there is Ice from the old Justice League International.

ReplyDeleteOnline Art Gallery
I could see Cameron looking at all these paintings with that screwed-up glint in his eyes, haha. Pretty cool, albeit not so new juxtaposition of fine art and comic art that online forums and social media should, nonetheless, get a kick out of because of how 'pop culture' it all is. Maybe they can get an actual copy of this hanging on their walls. This gallery should be promoted to as many online venues as possible.
