Lego Creation: Chimaera

"Imperial Star Destroyer Chimaera" by Poland-based Jerac

For those that think the official LEGO Star Destroyer sets have still been too small, Jerac has you covered with his newly completed Chimaera. At two meters long and weighing in around fifty kilos, it is a massive beasty and worthy of that menacing feeling evoked by the opening scene in A New Hope. As smooth as it looks in the shot above, I think a closer look is important to see the level of detail, including the fully finished undercarriage. All this is achieved with no internal metal support structure and it’s worth mentioning that he feels it is in a, “barely finished state.”

"So here she is - hastily in barely finished state. Our exhibition at Swarzewo has just started so there was no time to continue, but what is important is done. Internal lightning will follow later on, as will more photos... it is kind of hard to take them with the place full of kids humming the Imperial March :D"
