I am a huge fan of Batman: The Animated Series, and for my money, "Heart of Ice" stands out as one of its best written episodes. It single-handedly elevated Mr. Freeze from a throw-away supporting character to the franchise's most sympathetic villain by providing him with some very believable motivations. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that this illustration is a tribute to that episode.
