News: NBC is looking at a pilot for a Constantine TV show. For those who haven’t read the comic, the title comes from the protagonist in a long-running comic called Hellblazer, about a British con-man-come-magician.  Given NBC's long, shitty track record with fantasy genre series, I can't help but take this as terrible news.  Hellblazer has consistently been one of the best dramatic series on comic stands for the better part of a decade, and it deserves a cable series if it's going to be adapted at all.

News: Comics app Comixology was the top grossing non-game iPad app in 2013. They also announced that they delivered four billion comics pages in 2013. ComiXology CEO David Steinberger dicusses the growth of the digital-comics platform with Wired.

Torsten Adair looks back at the comic trends of 2013 and looks ahead to what we can expect in 2014.
