DALeast was born in 1984 in Beijing, China and is currently based in
Cape Town, South Africa, but many of murals here were photographed in England. He studied sculpture at the Institute of Fine
Arts, but he turned to street art in 2004. Since then, his murals have appeared in cities around the world, including: Australia, China, France, Israel, Namibia, Switzerland, and the U.S.
His subject matter usually consists of highly stylized animals composed of ribbon in a uniquely vibrant style that has become his signature.
