Cleveland-based Casey’s beautiful surrealist paintings center around the theme of houses and how our homes exist within the larger tapestry of a community. Her work evokes the sense of belonging with houses propped up on top of each other’s roofs to create a greater, larger beast more powerful than its parts, while conversely, some of her houses seem to be ensnared in the webs of their neighbors.
