Knitted Hobbit Company by Denise Salway from Penyfai, South Wales
According to The Mirror, an amateur knitter from Wales re-created the entire cast of The Hobbit in yarn without any patterns to work from as party favors for her daughter's wedding. In total, she created 150 favors of various design, but notes that the knitted Smaug alone took her a month to finish. I can only assume that the term "amateur" is being used by The Mirror ironically, because these are masterpieces.
