Ken Condal built this amazing orrery (a mechanical model of the solar system) all by himself. He milled the parts himself using a CNC machine. Personally, I've had a minor obsession with orreries every since I saw The Dark Crystal as a kid, and now I'm nursing fantasies about being able to one day make one of my own.
