"The Blue Route" by French artist Jonathan Bréchignac

Bréchignac created with carpet in ink entirely by hand, expanding the patten of the design spontaneously as he worked out from its center without a predetermined plan. The drawing has taken him eight months to create, though an earlier piece took almost a year and a half. Why, you ask? He finds the long and
meticulous process meditative, and the process allows him to relax and focus. This piece will be on exhibit from September 27th - February 9th, 2014 as part of the The Blue Route: Journeys and Beauties from the Mediterranean to China Exhibition.
