"ChurchTanks" by Kris Kuksi
Kuksi's mixed media sculptures combine the features of architecture we associate with European churches with the
imposing might of military artillery. Whether he's commenting on the use of intimidation by the Church or the might of religion is unclear, but in either case, his work is endlessly intriguing.
Kuksi's biography on his website states: "Kris feels that in the world
today much of mankind is oftentimes frivolous and fragile, being driven
primarily by greed and materialism. He hopes that his art exposes the
fallacies of Man, unveiling a new level of awareness to the viewer."
