Video: Laser Cutting City Street Maps

Laser Cut Street Map by Dan Linden
Available for purchase from the CutMaps Etsy shop. US$100

Artist Dan Linden uses a laser cutter to make intricate laser cut street maps of some of the world's largest cities. The maps are cut from recycled mounting board in a process that takes about two hours to complete. Linden has posted a series of videos of the creation process: a short snippet of an Atlanta map being made, played back at 4X, and the entire process of making a San Francisco map, at 32X.
