"The Girl & The Siren" directed by Jacob Petersson & Cristoffer Ålund
Seventeen minutes is a bit long for a short animation, but if you're a fan of stop motion, this is a can't miss. Not only is the film beautiful from start to finish, it has a pretty decent story at it's heart.
In "The Girl and The Siren," a young girl living in a Swedish sea port works in a tavern run by a distinctly unkind one-armed brute. However, in the Les Miserable tradition, the girl still has spirit... and imagination. You see, there's nothing this girl wants more than to be a pirate!
