Macabre Porcelain Figures by Danish artist Maria Rubinke
Maria Rubinke's
work is a gruesome study in contrasts. Her subject matter, which is captured in delicate porcelain, features the all-too-common motifs of cherubic children, complete with pigtails and ice cream cones juxtaposed against really disturbing B-movie horror film-style violence. Each piece features blood, severed limbs, and torn flesh to create a surreal composition.
