Algaegraphs by Paris-based Lia Giraud
Source: Wired
These green photos from Paris-based artist and E.N.S.A.D. researcher Lia Giraud are further proof that combining science and art make for even some amazing eye candy. These images
weren’t photographed, they were grown. Giraud cultures microscopic algae to
form living portraits. He calls them "algaegraphs." The outline of the image forms in only a few minutes, but it takes up to four days to fully cultivate an image. Read more about algaegraphs at Wired.
