This cake recreates Hogwarts from the Harry Potter movies in all its cinematic glory. The detail of the cake is magnificent. It looks like a set piece out of the Lego Harry Potter video game. It measures 2 x 4 feet, and it was made using gingerbread, as well as traditional cake. It’s held together with fondant and royal icing, and the windows were made of melted root beer barrel candies. The valley under the bridge is made from Rice Krispies, and she used Petal dust on the rocks and roofs to make them look more realistic. In the end, she used eighty pounds of fondant and spent 100 hours on the project. I think she would get an Outstanding on her O.W.L. exam for baking.
