Blinking City did a nice human interest piece on an Italian man named Luigi Prina with a rather imaginative hobby - building models of flying ships by hand. Each one is built of ultrathin paper, balsa wood, and rubber bands. Prina, age 83, was an architect for over fifty years, but he began building model when he was still in grade school. The piece waxes nostalgic, and it's little wonder why. The pieces are like something out of a dream, and the man's studio look the way DaVinci's might if he lived in modern day Italy.
