There's plenty of Batman fan art floating around out there, even more so since Christopher Nolan's films were released. I've even seen a handful of fan art comics, but nothing like this. I'm at a loss for word. There really isn't a way to describe the beautifully nihilistic spirit of Batman: The Deal except to read it yourself. Let me just say that Gerardo Preciado and Daniel Bayliss have done for fan comics what Frank Miller did for canon comics with The Dark Knight Returns.
The psychedelic art of Daniel Bayliss perfectly embodies the madness of the story of the final showdown between Batman and the Joker. And the moving quote by the late, great comedian Bill Hicks wraps up the story itself nicely. In short, this is the perfect love letter to the Batman series. I've re-posted it here out of fear that its creators will come to their senses, yank it, and actually publish the thing. Please do visit the original site, though. Work of this caliber deserves traffic!
