Five Knives - "The Future" directed by LANCE DRAKE
The Nashville-based Five Knives is not what you might expect. Their new video, directed by Lance Drake, is set in a dystopian future in which schoolboys are cloned and ruled by conformity in a society overseen by androids. When a small-scale rebellion erupts it's a Battle Royale that will leave you transfixed. Mostly, I watched the video because the androids look suspiciously like Cobra Commander, and I thought that the video would turn out to be some sort of COBRA recruiting video.
One thing's for sure, though. This kid has a bright future as an action star. Director Lance Drake told io9 in an interview that the boy in the film is 9 years-old Dallas Liu who actually competes in real life tournaments in a fighting style called "tricking."
