Sky Poker teamed up with cardstacker Bryan Berg to celebrate its highly anticipated "Play The Nation" campaign. A
division of BSkyB British Sky Broadcasting, Sky Poker is Britain’s
leading online poker room. After a public Facebook vote, Sky challenged
Berg to recreate one of London’s most famous landmarks: Big Ben and the
Houses of Parliament. In the city’s 2012 Olympic Parkvillage, Berg
presented Big Ben at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford, the UK’s largest
gaming venue and biggest poker room. The freestanding structure took
50,000 playing cards. Soccer AM host Max Rushden performed the
knockdown, sending the enormous 14 x 7 1/2 ft composition flying with a
kick of a soccer ball.
This month, we talk to Bryan Berg on his first visit to London for his most recent project. He currently holds the record for the largest playing card structure (10.39 m (34 ft 1.05 in) long, 2.88 m (9 ft 5.39 in) tall and 3.54 m [11 ft 7.37 in] wide), and the tallest house of cards (7.86 m [25 feet 9 7/16 inches]).
Since 1992 he has broken his own records 8 times.
