The Mark One is the first 3D printer from the Massachusetts-based MarkForged company, which was founded by aerospace engineer Greg Mark. The Mark One represents a major step forward in 3-D printing technology. It is the first 3-D printer capable of printing in carbon fiber, a substance with a seriously high strength-to-weight ratio. The Mark One is currently available for pre-order, and will ship in the second half of 2014.
