"CHRYSALIS Lapalux" Directed by Nick Ray Rutter
CHRYSALIS Lapalux is a visual metaphor for the emotional turmoil that a young boy feels when his heart is broken. After a cute girl gets into a car with another boy, our protagonist's body begins to fall apart. He splits at the seams. His fingers fall off. His muscles snarl and twist. His bones melt away.
It's an unsettling process to watch, but it makes a powerful statement.
The film's visuals are accompanied by music from Lapalux. The soundtrack features a dark piece called "Gold," layered with vocals by London singer Jassy Grez.
