Quick Pic: Cthuken
Via: Gothamist
According to Eulberg, he and wife Jennifer Robledo "wanted to do
something unique for Christmas dinner with friends of ours. Jenny is a
big fan of Cthulhu so we went and bought some crab legs and some octopus
and bacon and cooked them all separate and slapped them together on a
plate, and that was it. The next year I made a Cthicken; the same thing
using squid instead of octopus and a chicken."
Eulberg says, "The universal reaction was, 'Oh my God, I couldn't eat that.' But each individual piece was cooked separately; all I did was set them together on the plate. It was delicious. The crab leg was awesome and the bacon added a nice flavor to the turkey. And for added horror, the serving platter is an old Nazi plate with a Swastika on the bottom that a friend bought in an old abandoned Luftwaffe base in Germany."

Food Art: Nightmare Before XMas Latte
This scrolled across my Tumblr dash this morning. I feel like this woman should be working at a gallery rather than a coffee shop.

Food Art: Millennium Falcon Pie
Via: Neatorama
This beauty is a veggie-filled quiche folded into a sculpted pizza-dough shell. The original recipe is in Italian, but Neatorama ran the article through Google Translate, and it sounds delicious.
"I had never done anything like this before but I must say that my first experiment based bio kamut, zucchini and cheese could definitely good if not beautiful, fragrant fragrant and pure light! Not to mention that it is an excellent vegetarian quiche. It all started when the Molini Pivetti asked me if I would like to test some of their flour. I was never interested in flour and scuriosare on their site I opened a world then there are only taken-in-tour sponsored by notes broadcasts where they make you overpay 1 tablespoon cornstarch and two grams of yeast! I discovered that there is a technical difference between flour recommended for cream and one for the pastry tarts. Wow. But you had not thought that the package could be directed instead to savory, with two types of flour for pizza soft. The commitment, however, was taken so I decided to try. You want to experience too? Then skip the break for the recipe!"

Food Art: Death Star and Luke Bento
I love that Araben has created Death Star and Luke boxes, rather than Luke and Death Star. There's no question who's the star of this show here.
"Star Wars Force Fridays - Death Star and Luke in his pilot gear from Episode IV: A New Hope. And have fun at Star Wars Weekends at the Hollywood Studios. I’m jealous, but I am loving your posts from there!"
