Danish architecture firm EFFEKT has created an absolutely beautiful way to experience the Gisselfeld Klosters Skove preserved forest with their exquisitely designed “Camp Adventure Treetop Experience“, a 600 meter circular wooden ramp that gently rises within the forest up to the observation deck, which 45 meters in the air providing for a stunning bird’s eye view of the trees.

How Crossrail is using 3D-printing to build its stations Crossrail is a big fancy new rail route through London and surrounding counties. Pyro Design has created an awesome geeky fidget spinner that brings Mario's classic 8-bit running animation to life while in use. The idea for the Mario fidget spinner was Garrett Kearney. A Pyro Design’s custom laser cut fidget spinners are available to purchase from his Etsy shop.

Retired Boeing software engineer Keith Enevoldsen created the color-coded “Periodic Tables of Elements, in Pictures and Words” for both kids and adults to help us all understand the chemical elements in a fun way with drawings of how they interact with our normal everyday lives. Enevoldsen also made a textual periodic table featuring even more information about each element.


Surprising Uses of the Pythagorean Theorem. A nice intuitive exploration of the old mathematical chestnut. With just a little bit of simple logic, we find that the Theorem doesn't just apply to triangles. From this we learn for instance, that the energy used to accelerate one bullet to 500 mph can accelerate two others to 400 and 300 mph. And whether that large pizza is better than two mediums.
