Reality is a short film about a couple who keep secrets from each other in a near future society in which people live immersed in technology. The film recently placed second at Cathay Motion Picture Awards. As one of the conditions of the competition, the team was required to create the film in under 78 hours, though the film doesn't come across as a rush job, thanks to its sleek visual effect and cinematography.
"Set in a world where the advancement of technology has open up endless possibilities for anyone to be who they want to be, a couple takes a leap of faith to reveal their true self. Will this faith lead them to fate they both yearn for?The film seeks to question the future of technology as a co-habitant of our lives. In technology's quest to better lives, has it really help us take a step forward or take a step backward to hide behind a projected reality?
Will we truly have a better tomorrow?"
