Star Wars: Hunt for the Holocron is a fan film honoring George Lucas’ Star Wars legacy with an original trilogy-style adventure. Produced by a dedicated group of fans over the course of ten years using only practical effects (no computer graphics), this film is a thirty minute love letter to the franchise, complete with its own original orchestral score.
This short film is the story of Bando and Sahn Jinkuru, young men thrown into a dangerous world when they find a Holocron, a record of Jedi secrets. Pursued by Dark Jedi Dregr Jarrat, whose thirst for the Holocron has become an obsession, the boys flee with the aid of Jedi E’Din Kyle and a smuggler named Ariah Duen.
The film was funded by the family and friends of the crew who invested thousands of hours of work with pay to realize the film.
