Crafts: Songbird Plushie
Songbird (from BioShock Infinite) by Anna the Red
"The plush is based on a character called Songbird from BioShock Infinite. It’s the protector of Elizabeth the heroine in game and he will do whatever to protect her & get her back at any cost.
Now that Derek and I finished BioShock Infinite once (we’re already on our second playthrough) we can say that, without spoilers, it was absolutely gorgeous and the story totally blew our minds. I fell in love with Songbird even more! Also there actually are Songbird plush in the game!"
Crafts: Pacific Rim Plushies

Based off of the Great Showdowns painting by Scott Campbell.
"These will be listed as a pair. The removable ship will also come with Gipsy Danger. As you can see, this is a plush version of the painting by Scott Campbell, so some parts are simplified. These plushes are NOT intended to be directly accurate to the movie designs.

Instructables has posted instructions for building a Fully Articulated Battle Robot Action Figure using a 3D printer. I think that if I'd been able to make one of these as a kid, I never would have satisfied with an action figure from a store ever again.

Short Film: The Eagleman Stag
"The Eagleman Stag" directed by Mikey Please
Picking up a whole slew of awards on the festival circuit in 2011, including the BAFTA and AFI prizes for short-form animation, The Eagleman Stag was created as Mikey Please’s thesis project at the Royal College Of Art. The stop motion figures of the film were created of a foam made of “…some strange white stuff…found in the back of a stress cushion.”
The short film tells the wryly self-conscious story of the life of Peter Eagleman, a man obsessed with the quickening perception of time as he ages and his attempts to counter this effect with the discovery of a never-before-seen beetle that can regenerate its nerve tissue. One of the most visually imaginative films I've ever seen, The Eagleman Stag is a bold piece of art that makes for an oddly affecting film experience.

"Men in Black" directed by Richard Robbins
"Men in Black is a true story as told by soldier and writer Colby Buzzell about his experience in Iraq. This project is a six minute portion of the feature length documentary 'Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience'. The film recieved an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary, up against ‘Sicko’ by Micheal Moore, as well as recieving two Emmys."
