"Arlo: The Assassin" Written & Directed by Dustin Buck
Created with a budget of just $300 with a whole lot of volunteers in Fort Worth, TX, Dustin Black's "Arlo: The Assassin" is an impressively imaginative film that proves that you can capture big ideas on film with a very tiny budget.
"Arlo: The Assassin" is an eighties style, lo-fi, cyberpunk action short set in a futuristic world where the streets are rough and the stakes are high. Arlo has been given his latest mark, The Grinning Girl, but his latest target isn't going down without a fight.
Though I may be mistaken, the entire thing feels like an homage to the Ghost in the Shell.
