"Kill The Baby Ep. 1" Written, Directed & Produced by Alex Kavutskiy & Ariel Gardner
"Kill The Baby" is a new web series about attempted infanticide. In it, an overwhelmed father decides to kill his newborn son. Needless to say it's a dark comedy. Very dark. But if you're a fan of the Family Guy subplots where Stewie tries to kill Lois, this should be right up your alley.
The humor of the series arises from the juxtaposition of protagonist David Geis' otherwise loveable demeanor and the raving lunatic persona he effects any time at every little irritation. The film proceeds at a frantic pace without ever falling short of perfect comedic timing. The narrative cuts between a black and white reality in which the father stalks his infant like Inspector Clouseau in the Pink Panther, and Dad's racing imagination — what he’ll say to the police, how he’ll seduce his sister, etc. The guy is crazy. He’s also completely, wonderfully inept. The whole series is very reminiscent of Wile E. Coyote's pursuit of the Road Runner.
